Meet Mark Pawlak
Lemont is more than just where I live—it’s my community, my passion, and my home. I’m running for Trustee to ensure Lemont continues to thrive, support local businesses, and remain a wonderful place to raise a family.
- Local Leader & Business Owner – My wife Wendy and I run a real estate business right here in Lemont, helping families and businesses find their perfect place in our community.
- Dedicated Community Volunteer – I’m a past president of the Lemont Rotary and an active member of the Lemont Lions Club. Giving back is at the core of who I am.
- Passionate About Education & Nature – As a beekeeper, I maintain a hive at the Lemont Township Open Space through the Lemont Lions Legacy program. I also host field trips for grade school students, inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards.
- Spreading Joy in Lemont – During the COVID pandemic, Wendy and I brought the Easter Bunny to Lemont families when they couldn’t leave their homes. Every winter, we organize a Santa letter-writing program with the help of local high school students.
My Vision for Lemont
Lemont is already a great place to live, but I believe we can do even better. Here’s what I’ll fight for as your Trustee:
- More Commercial Development – Expanding our commercial tax base will help keep property taxes lower for residents.
- Faster, More Affordable Permitting – Making it easier and more cost-effective for businesses and homeowners to get projects approved.
- Smart, Responsible Growth – Preserving the character of Lemont while ensuring sustainable economic expansion.
- Supporting Local Businesses – Creating a thriving environment where small businesses can succeed and grow.
