The holiday season in Lemont, Illinois just got more magical! Mark and Wendy Pawlak of Pawlak Properties are bringing back their beloved Lemont Santa Mailbox for another year of spreading joy throughout our community. Where to Find the Santa Mailbox in Lemont

Primary Location: 430 Schultz Street, Lemont, IL

The main Santa mailbox is located at 430 Schultz Street in Lemont, Illinois - the home of Wendy and Mark Pawlak. This year, they've moved it slightly up their driveway for easier and safer access. Feel free to pull right into the driveway to drop off your child's letter to Santa!

Dates: Black Friday (November 28, 2025) through December 17, 2025

Second Location: Lemont Public Library

You can also drop off Santa letters at the Lemont Public Library, where they have a special Santa mailbox inside. This is perfect if you're already visiting the library!

Bonus Event: Hometown Holiday

On December 6th, there will be an additional Santa mailbox at 3 Stories during the Hometown Holiday celebration in downtown Lemont.

How the Lemont Santa Mailbox Works

Unlike generic Santa letter programs, every child who writes to Santa through the Lemont Santa Mailbox gets a personalized letter back! Here's what makes this program special:

• Personalized responses written by local Lemont High School National Honor Society students
• No cost to families (though stamp donations are always appreciated!)
• Letters are carefully read and responded to with encouragement and holiday magic
• Photos with the mailbox are encouraged - tag Pawlak Properties on Facebook or text them your pics!

Important: Please include your return address on the letter so Santa (and his helpers) can write back!

The Heartwarming Story Behind Lemont's Santa Mailbox

The Pawlak Properties Santa Mailbox program started in 2020 during COVID-19 as a way to bring light to our Lemont community during challenging times. Wendy Pawlak was inspired by a childhood memory of a Santa mailbox in Downers Grove that never wrote back - so she and Mark decided to create something better for Lemont families.

What started with under 100 letters that first year has grown into a beloved Lemont tradition, with over 500 letters sent back from Santa last year!

The Community Behind the Magic

This wouldn't be possible without amazing Lemont organizations:

• Lemont High School National Honor Society - Students write personalized responses to each child
• Friends of the Library - Help coordinate and support the mailing process
• Local families - Many donate stamps to keep this free program running

Mark Pawlak even handcrafted the original Santa mailbox using plywood and a vintage 1950s awning from one of their rental properties. (Fun fact: You can't legally buy a real USPS mailbox to convert - they checked!)
